In short, years ago, he royally screwed up his business and his life. I recommend watching the discernible podcast if you want to know the details. But what stood out to me in the podcast was that Jordan came across unlike any politician. He came across like a normal human being.

He did not deliver a pre-written legal department approved monologue, nor did he revel in his victimhood like a supposedly reformed Hollywood actor does. When Matt asked a question, Jordan answered, and what he said made sense. No evasion, no ego, and also no dubious, politically correct nonsense or irrational stupidity.
