SPEAKER 1
Welcome to episode nine of the Liberty Itch podcast. Our guest today is Gigi Foster. Gigi is a professor of economics at the University of New South Wales and senior scholar at the Brownstone Institute. Unusually for a Western University professor in 2025, Gigi's hair is not blue or green. She is a staunch libertarian, highly critical of government,

and was an early vocal critic of the government's appalling response to the global COVID con. She co-authored The Great COVID Panic in 2021, which was one of the earliest books to document the lies, irrationality and ridiculousness of the global hysteria over a mediocre flu. So the current view of COVID is where we kicked off the interview.

When I say we, I mean Tom. I could not be trusted to control myself discussing the COVID sham. So to spare you and Gigi from me potentially ranting uncontrollably about the communists and the Victorian government and how I understand that As a libertarian, I am opposed to capital punishment, but Dan Andrews. Anyway, Tom interviewed Gigi,

Tom Volcanis interviews Professor Gigi Foster - senior scholar at the Brownstone Institute and co-author of ‘The Great Covid Panic’ - about a range of topics related to Australia’s love affair with all things government, including the current perception of the government’s disastrous Covid policies and actions.
