Ah, but xie does not need to be Marxist to identify as Marxist. The Marxist meaning of life is to be constantly revolting. And Marxists are nothing if not constantly revolting.
Recognising the fact that Aboriginals committed genocide against the previous occupants of Australia what punishment should be exacted against Aboriginals for this heinous crime? Secondly, white colonisers need to reconcile with Aboriginals what does the end point of reconciliation look like?
Great questions. But speaking of reconciliation and oppression, do we not also owe the dinosaurs reconciliation for burning the oil to which they became? Apparently birds are the closest living descendants to dinosaurs. So should we give every bird an apartment in Dubai? Should we replace maternity wards in hospitals with large piles of twigs where mothers can sit on their babies? And perhaps we should have restaurants serve worms and bugs... oh, actually the WEF is already trying to do that.
Great rant! In a modern economy such as Australia’s Marx’s view lost relevance eons ago. We have few factories with even fewer workers and those workers are normally very skilled. In Marxian terms these people are the labour aristocracy not the disposed proletarians. Factory slaves require factories in order to exist, no factories no proletarians as traditionally defined.
In stiches here between terminal patients in comas and earlob flicks!
Fantastic piece! If a Marxist questioned they/themself, xie would no longer be a Marxist.
